Bono De Caja, El Banco Central Mexicano, 1899 Specimen Banknote. Mexico, 1899, Ser. A. 100 Pesos, P-Unlisted, Specimen Bono De Caja banknote of an extremely rare and attractive note that is not listed in the SCWPM. The text has a blank space for the interest amount. Red specimen overprint, POC and "00000" serial numbers. Black with green undertint. Vignette of allegorical woman with staff, seated lion and steamship. Back has denomination in green. Archival hand stamped date of "Oct 1899" on top left of back margin. Note would have been CU but there is a small indentation where the note had been paper clipped to something in the past, otherwise a beautiful and dramatic design on this rare note. ABNC.
