China, Lot of 4 notes, Includes 1923 National Commercial Bank, Ltd., "Shanghai" Branch Issue, 1 Yuan, P-573a S/M#C22-1a, Issued, Black on m/c, mandarin at right, S/N 10820, Crisp VF to Choice VF with tape remnants on the top back left and right border; 1924 National Industrial Bank of China, "Shanghai" Branch Issue, 1 Yuan, P-525a S/M#C291-1c, Issued, brown on m/c, horse at left, back brown with Great Wall, S/N 017076, VF to Choice VF with stamp hinges on the top left and right face that can be removed easily; 1921 China & South Sea Bank, Ltd., "Shanghai" Branch Issue with "Chairman" overprint, 1 Yuan, P-121a S/M#C295-1a, Issued, Green on m/c, S/N AM688321, Crisp VF to Choice VF with tape remnants on the top left and right border with a rough lower left edge; and 1920 Commercial Bank of China, 1 Yuan, P-1a S/M#C293-40, Black on m/c, Worthy at center, back green with supporting lions, S/N A222301 with letter "H" on face and back, Choice XF to AU with 2 pin holes on the top right corner and tape remnants on the top left and right margin on the face. Includes the original page from his book picturing all of the notes in this lot. All 4 of these notes are the Plate notes from Pogrebetsky's personal reference collection and are the photographed plate notes from his rare Chinese banknote book published in Harbin in 1929.
