Washington, D.C., May 9, 1918, Black on orange-yellow, Jefferson on top middle, Eagle on each coupon, back brown with standing Liberty, Tehee | Mcadoo signatures, S/N B 02512272, rare bond and this example has a unique story, it was cancelled by mistake, the owners requested it to be reinstated which it was and typed and signed on the back in 1979 by the Acting Director, Division of Securities Operations, U.S. Treasury department, "This is to certify that the perforations in this security and in coupons no. 19 dated 11-15-27 through no.49 dated 11-15-42 don not impair its validity". that rarely appears in auction. BEP. The bond itself is in Choice Fine condition with POC's on the right, the coupons are all taped and stapled together, Rare bond with unique revalidation on back.
