New York, ND (1860s). Uncut Pair of Scrip Notes, these scrip notes were used by the Sutler as a form of payment that would be deducted from the soldier's paycheck and directly pay Sutler S. Rightmyre. The 109th Regiment was from the counties of Broome, Tioga, and Tompkins and were mustered into service at Binghamton. They served in Maryland, also in the defenses of Washington, DC, and in August 1864, it became part of the Army of the Potomac. VF condition with tear at left and light staining.
