Overprinted in red "The Name of this Corporation Has Been Changed to American Broadcasting Companies". In 1948, Paramount was in the center of an anti-trust investigation into the practices of movie and television stations. Leonard Goldenson was named to run the spun off television portion of Paramount called United Paramount Theatres, inc. On February 11, 1953, ABC and United Paramount Theaters, Inc. mergered. In 1965, the name was shortened to American Broadcasting Company (ABC) for which it is presently known by. Facsimile signature of Leonard Goldenson as president. Historic television broadcasting history certificate and possibly one of the first ABC certificates issued with mention of "ABC". Evidently an archival copy remainder used as a production specimen for the banknote companies records. Unique in archive. SBNC. XF.
