AIA XXX in 3 Sessions, U.S. & WW Banknotes, Scripophily and Coins

Auction Details

On behalf of the entire Archives International Auctions team, I would like to personally
welcome you to our 30th auction we have held over the last 8 years as well as this sale
including our sixth exciting Chinese and Asian Banknote, Scripophily and Coin auction.
The first session scheduled for Friday, December 11th will include over 900 lots of rare
banknotes, scripophily, coins and security printing ephemera with a wide variety of
material from numerous consignors including additional selections from the Arthur Matz
collection. The second session on Monday, December 14th will include over 380 lots of
Chinese and Asian Banknotes, Scripophily and Coins in conjunction with Kelleher &
Rogers Fine Asian Auctions Ltd., at our offices in Fort Lee, New Jersey. We are privileged
to offer Part 2 of the Alexander I. Pogrebetsky Family Archives of rare Chinese and Asian
banknotes as well as “The Shanghai Banker’s Collection” of rare Chinese banknotes, with
both collections having never been offered previously at public auction and were held
very closely by their families for over 60 years each until earlier this year. Included will be
many desirable banknotes that are rarely seen at auction as well as a large assortment of
specialized issues from many areas. We will be holding our third session on Monday
afternoon, December 14th, beginning no earlier than 3:00 PM, which will be a Live
Internet and absentee bidding auction only with no catalog available other than our
Virtual Catalog and will consist of over 600 lots of interesting U.S. & Worldwide
banknotes, scripophily and coins with many bargain priced items being offered.
We are looking forward to another exciting auction and hope you enjoy our current
offerings. We anticipate at least two more Chinese and Asian banknote auctions in the
upcoming new year as well as being in the planning stages for a February auction and a
Live Internet and Absentee Bidding auction a short time after, so please contact us if you
would like to participate in our sales or consign to our upcoming auctions.
We would also like to thank Kelleher & Rogers Fine Asian Auctions, LTD., for their help
and encouragement in holding our sixth Chinese and Asian Banknote, Scripophily and
Coin Auction and look forward to many more in association with them in the future.
I would like to thank everyone who has participated in our past auctions and has helped
make this auction series a resounding success.
WELCOME TO THE SALE
