(AC&Y) was a regional railroad founded in 1907, serving Ohio's industrial areas. It was established to transport goods like coal, steel, and rubber, especially supporting Akron's booming rubber industry. The railroad expanded over time, connecting with larger networks like the Pennsylvania Railroad and the B&O. In 1964, AC&Y was absorbed by Norfolk & Western Railway as part of a larger consolidation in the railroad industry. Though it no longer operates independently, AC&Y played an important role in Ohio’s industrial development.
