Redding, Connecticut. 1910, Typed Letter from Albert Paine and signed by him to William Allen. Albert Paine was an American author and biographer best known for his work with Mark Twain. This letter was sent to Bermuda (where Twain spent considerable time) to make reservations and preparations for a trip. He mentions in letter "....the use of tug to take Mr. Clemens to the ship and I hand you herewith Mark Twain company Check.....His canvas chair will be sent to him.....This is the set of books which I understood from Mr. Clemens he wished sent to Mr. Allen". Letter is in excellent condition.
