New York, ND (ca. 1840-50s) Steel Printing Plate for New York State Arms. 4 x 2.25 inches, slightly more than 1/8th inch thick, ornate New York Arms with allegorical women flanking eagle on shield, cross hatch markings on the outer part of the design, used on stocks, bonds, checks or obsolete banknotes, the plate is in exceptional condition for its age.
