Uncut sheet of 2 U/U Checks, Black text with black border on blue paper, Portrait of David Farragut at left., S/Ns 5291 & 5292, AU to Uncirculated condition with stain at top left on counterfoil. Back with blue security threads, David Farragut was a flag officer of the United States Navy during the American Civil War. He was the first rear admiral, vice admiral, and admiral in the United States. He is remembered for his order at the Battle of Mobile Bay usually paraphrase as "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead" in U.S. Navy tradition. BEP.
