Baltimore, Maryland; 1802. Document noting attempt to collect on a promissory note, and how it was unsuccessful and the debtor wasn't home. Sterett was appointed private secretary to the President of Congress in November, 1782. He also served in the Second Congress from March 4, 1791 to March 3, 1793. Sterett was also the nephew of Captain Charles Ridgely.
