Banco De Espana Correspondence to ABNC Regarding Banknote Payments.Spain, 1885, Lot of 2 letters, one with English translation. 1). Madrid, Spain. February 27, 1885. One page letter on Banco De Espana embossed letterhead with blue ABNC receiving handstamp. Letter is written in Spanish with translation written on second sheet of attached paper. Signed by Sub-Governor, Manual Ciudad. The letter from the bank relates to the final payment to ABNC for 8,500 Pounds Sterling drawn against Rothschild & Sons in London. The Subgovernor states the contract with ABNC is now complete. The banknotes this relates to are the 1884, First Issue, P-24 to P-28, 25 Pesetas to 1000 Pesetas printed by ABNC; 2). Madrid, Spain. April 15th, 1885. A second letter relating to the first letter written in Spanish with no translation. Rare internal correspondence between ABNC and Banco De Espana relating to the second and last issue printed by ABNC for Spain. ABNC.
