New York (California), 1860-80s (1913) Specimen Uncut 1st and 2nd of exchange pair. Vignette of seated allegorical woman on dock with steamship at sea. Date lined New York and payable at "the Joint Stock Bank, Ltd., London". Black border, vignette and text over orange undertint. Archival corrections are made on the exchange and on the counterfoil on the left with production department handstamps on the back. Red specimen overprints and POC's. VF to Choice VF condition. Old exchange design from the 1860 - 1880s reused at a later date. Unique exchange in archive.
