Ottawa, Canada. 1991, Bank of Canada, $20, BC-58PE, Progress Specimen-Proof, "Printer's Essay" Polymer Plastic Note, (Similar to issued note P-97tp but printed on Polymer paper and not regular paper as the issued note and the obverse is partially printed with only the underprint, missing the main printing), Green on m/c, Intaglio printed on DuraNote polymer paper, Underprint on obverse, no main printing, back with ducks swimming in lake, Bonin | Thiessen signatures, Pin-punch "SPECIMEN", With cloudy circular window on top right corner for additional security feature. Intaglio printed on DuraNote polymer plastic paper. PMG graded About Uncirculated 55. The note was printed as part of a project from Mobil Oil for testing petroleum based hydrocarbon polymer paper for printing banknotes. The project was abandoned after the company merged with Exxon to form Exxon-Mobile.
