Pennsylvania, 1815, I/U stock certificate, Serial #65, 8 Shares, Black print with ornate border, Signed by Samuel Harvey as President; John Watson as Cashier and issued to Charles Nice, VF condition with some foxing, Joseph Rakestraw, printer, Philadelphia. Samuel Harvey was a Philadelphia merchant and banker who owned a firm with James Worth in the early 1800s. Harvey received a local preaching license from the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1805. From 1814-1848, he served as president of the National Bank of Germantown.
