Port Jervis, Orange County, New York, 18xx, (1857), $1-$2-$5, Plate B, A, A, (NY-2250-G4a,G8a,G14a), Proof only issue; SENC; SENC; Small imprint “Patented June 2nd, 1857” on bottom right, All are Black on full orange lathework underprint with white outlined numerals in middle, $1, oval portrait of man on left , NY Registration on right, barge being pulled by horses by small hills with city in background, white outlined “ONE” in middle; $2, Oval male portrait on left, men loading hay into wagon pulled by oxen and horse with trees, NY State Registration on right, White outlined “TWO” in middle; $5, Oval male portrait on left, locomotive under bridge traveling through deep cut, NY State Registration on right, White outlined “FIVE” in middle, all with small POC's, ABN overprints on back in purple-red with almost no bleed through, there is a small piece of stamp hing type of tape at the bottom margin of the $5 note, otherwise the sheet appears Choice to Gem Uncirculated with tape noted, extremely attractive with full color undertint on uncut sheet of 3 proofs, BC.
