Port Jervis, Orange County, New York, 18xx, (1857), $10-$20-$3, Plate A, A, B, (NY-2250-G18a,G22a,G10a), SENC; SENC; Proof only issue, Small imprint “Patented June 2nd, 1857” on bottom right, All are Black on full orange lathework underprint with white outlined numerals in middle, $10, Oval portrait of Penn on right. NY State Registration on left, Middle with two seated allegorical women with sickle and wheel with factories in background, white outlined “TEN”; $20, seated reaper holding sheaves on left, NY State Registration middle left, patriotic eagle holding arrows on shield with flags in background on right-middle, outlined white “XX” in middle; $3, oval portrait of man on left below NY Registration, sitting and standing cows and sheep in middle and happy sailor on right, white outlined “3 3” in middle, all with small POC's but one of the middle POC's on the $20 has been pulled and there is a very small piece missing and the $3 has a 1/2 inch internal tear that is almost impossible to see at the left POC, ABN overprint on back in purple-red with almost no bleed through, at first appearance the sheet appears Gem Uncirculated with the POC and tear noted, The $10 would grade Gem Uncirculated by itself, extremely attractive with full color undertint on uncut sheet of 3 proofs, BC.
