Texas, Delaware, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oregon, and California, 1850-1900s. Mixed lot of historical paper items comprising bank drafts, checks, receipts, financial forms, commercial notes, labels, and small-format printed ephemera. Material includes multiple items issued to or drawn on The Elgin National Bank, Elgin, Texas, together with manuscript and printed financial documents, lithographed printer’s or press forms, and miscellaneous commercial pieces. Also present is a colorful "American Biscuit & Mfg. Co." draft with a large colorful parrot on the left from 1895; illustrated trade and Gunpowder labels; a small-denomination novelty Pendleton, Oregon, Ad note; and a facsimile Confederate advertising note from a clothing company in San Pedro, California, ca.1910-20, banknote. Items vary in size and format, with a range of engraved, lithographed, and manuscript elements represented. Conditions range from Damaged for the printer press items to Uncirculated for the labels. Sold “AS IS” no returns accepted.
