Bremen-Vegesack, Germany. Lot of 8 notes, includes four 1 Mark notes (Serie II, Fine; Serie III, Fine; Serie IV, Ch. VF; and Serie V, VF); as well s four 2 Mark notes (Serie II, About Unc; Serie III, VF; Serie IV, Ch. XF; and Serie V, Fine). Redeemable at the Wage Office of the company. All with POC's and "Ungultig" (invalid) handstamp on back. Bremer Vulkan AG was a prominent German shipbuilding company located at the Weser river in Bremen-Vegesack. It was founded in 1893 and closed in 1997 because of financial problems and mismanagement. With the exception of both World Wars, Bremer Vulkan only produced civilian ships.
