Bridgeton, NJ. Lot of 6 notes, Includes 3 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 25 cents, & 40 cents, Aug. 1, 1858, Sept. 1, 1860, and Jan. 1, 1863, Wait Unlisted, 120, 122, 125, 126, & 128, R-4, R-5, and R-6. Six pieces. The Bridgeton Glass Works usually operated under the names of its owners. Scrip was issued from 1836 into the 1870s. Most notes available today are unsigned. Only one of the six scrip pieces in this lot is signed. The 20c note(Wait 125) is signed by E. Dennis. All six of these notes have the same four vignettes. The central vignette is a woman with fasces leaning on a shield, with Niagara Falls in the background. At the lower center, is a small train vignette. At the left, is a farmer with a scythe. At right, is a woman holding a cornucopia. The 5 unissued notes are AU to Uncirculated and the issued note is a nice VF. Attractive assortment. (6)
