New Orleans, LA. November 15th, 1865, 1 page letter or Office of Assistant Quartermaster stationary. Letter is to F.H.Quitman from W.B. Armstrong, Captain and Assistant Quartermaster, discussing a plantation situated in the Parish of Terrebourne, LA, that evidently was seized by the U.S. Government after the war and appears to be leased or given back to him. Interesting and scarce post Civil War document. VF condition.
