Lot of 5 vintage stereo view photographs documenting U.S. Army and Navy life during the Spanish American War, including camp scenes with soldiers at ease titled “Camp Barber”; Admiral Robley D. “Fighting Bob” Evans of the U.S. Atlantic Fleet, seated aboard ship; a coastal training or outpost scene titled “Soldier Boys at Monterey, Calif”; a tented mess view titled “One of Uncle Sam’s Banquets” showing enlisted men at table; and a large West Point Cadets parade image dated April 30, 1889, reflecting prewar military training and ceremony. Strong period uniforms, equipment, and candid daily life views throughout. Overall condition is Fine to VF condition with rubbing, edge wear, and light soiling typical of handling. typical age toning and wear, with clear and engaging images. A desirable group for collectors of early U.S. military photography and Spanish–American War material.(5)
