Hartford, Connecticut, 1793. 8 Pounds 11 Shillings I/U Payment Certificate, paid "out of the Taxes appropriated for the Payment of the Civil List," from the State of Connecticut Comptroller's Office. Issued to Constant Southworth, Esq. and signed by Andrew Kingsbury as Comptroller and Peter Colt as Treasurer, S/N 1277. Black text with black handwriting and signatures. Peter Colt (1744-1824) served as Connecticut State Treasurer from 1790 to 1794. Andrew Kingsbury (1759-1837) was an American soldier and treasurer from Connecticut, who served as Comptroller from 1791 to 1793. VF condition, Printed by Hudson and Goodwin. Sold "AS IS" no returns accepted.
