Hartford, Connecticut, 1781-82. Lot of 3 Tax Pay Orders Issued by the Pay-Table Office. Black print, handwriting, and signatures, Issued to Ralph Pomeroy; William Moseley; and Horatio Wales, respectively. Trio includes signatures from early Connecticut figures such as Fenn Wadsworth, William Moseley, Oliver Wolcott Jr. and more. William Moseley (1755-1824) later would serve in the Connecticut state senate. He was also the Director of the Hartford National Bank from 1797 to 1815. Fenn Wadsworth (1750/51-1785) was a brigade major to General James Wadsworth from 1776 to 1779. Fine-VF condition, one with a pair of holes near bottom center. (3)
