Canada, ca. 1900-40s. Lot of 100+ I/C Canadian bank checks, drafts, and commercial payment documents, representing active business and interbank transactions across multiple provinces. The group includes material drawn on and payable through major Canadian banks and commercial houses, with frequent adhesive revenue stamps, manuscript endorsements, clearing handstamps, and bank processing marks throughout. Issuers and payees span grain companies, milling firms, oil and industrial concerns, merchants, brokers, and exporters, reflecting Canada’s commodity-driven economy during the period. Printed on period check stock in varied formats and colors, many with dense overprinting from repeated handling and clearing. Conditions range from Good to VF overall, with folds, edge wear, ink toning, stamps, and cancellations consistent with genuine commercial use. A visually dense, research-rich accumulation illustrating everyday Canadian banking, trade, and fiscal practices in the first half of the 20th century. (100+). Sold “AS IS” no returns accepted.
