Binder of brochures, pamphlets, postcards, invitations, and promotional material from the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair “Century of Progress,” highlighting notable exhibits, transportation displays, and corporate promotions. General fair items include a Travel Guild, Inc. tourist brochure, standard and night-view postcards, a Good Year booklet/flight log signed by the pilot, an invitation to the Air Show, and a Museum of Science & Industry news clipping. Exhibit-related pieces feature a South African diamond mine pamphlet, Domestic Animal Show pamphlet, postcard and Edison Big News issue covering the Sinclair Dinosaur Exhibit, and postcards depicting federal and state buildings illuminated at night. Transportation-themed materials include a Royal Scot London Midland & Scottish Railway pamphlet, South Manchuria Railway pamphlet, and Japanese transportation exhibits pamphlet. Corporate and institutional promotions comprise an Old Dutch Cleanser envelope with fair stamp and Cleanliness Thru the Ages pamphlet, a University of Chicago pamphlet, and a Grand Duchy of Luxembourg pamphlet presented by the Chicago Tribune European Edition.
