Anhwei, China. 1918. $5. P-52b (S/M #C294-101a). Possible Color Trial Specimen note, front is dark olive green and m/c instead of issued blue-black and m/c with "Peking Pagoda" and houses in center, back is olive green. Specimen overprint, "00000" serial numbers and POC's. At first glance, the note appears Uncirculated, but there is light handling evidence on the upper border from archival storage which makes this a Choice AU. Rare and desirable note in any condition. ABNC.
