ca.1860's-80's. 9 different Civil War related vignettes. Most were used on obsolete banknotes, stocks, bonds and drafts. 2 are printed on india paper and mounted on manila card, while 7 are mounted on manila file folders with archival notations and information. Printers include ABNC and CBNC. Titles include "Arms of Iowa"; "Picket Guard"; "Union Soldiers"; "Army & Navy"; "The Vivandiere"; "Volunteers Return"; ""Volunteers Depart"; "News From Home" with the others untitled. All of the vignettes range from 1 to 3 inches in size. Most have toning or light glue stains, otherwise appear in choice condition. Please inspect. Rare group of early Civil War vignettes, some well known.
