Group of 24 original French postcards related to the advent of flight, airplanes, and pilots. Included is a contemporary postcard featuring the Bleriot IV in flight, despite the fact that this iteration of the plane could not fly. Also includes a postcard of Georges Guynemer, who was a top fighter ace for France with 54 victories during World War I, and a French national hero at the time of his death. Other planes, such as the Curtiss Biplane, Goupy No.1, and the Farman Biplane. All postcards are in VF condition, with some pencil markings.
