Philippines. P-Unlisted. Unique Security Banknote Company essay color-trial proof book of Philippine banknotes. The book is made up of two sections. The first section has approximately 2,150 50 Centavo front proofs with a vignette of Marina Christa Hydroelectric Plant and close to 715 back proofs. The second section has approximately 1,350 front proofs of a protrait of a Filipino notable and 450 back proofs and is also a 50 Centavo denomination. The format is 4 note vertically by 4 notes horizontally, with the far right vertical row being back proofs, the remainder are front proofs. On top of each note are color registration bars. The amazing thing is that each note has a slight to major variation in colors of borders, seals, and vignettes and also a variety of different undertint background patterns, with no two notes being alike, i.e., there are over 3500 (thirty-five hundred) unique notes in this book. Either they could not make up their mind as to color combinations or they used it as a deluxe color chart for picking out colors for other projects. This format is unique as far as I know and the quantity of unique color varieties is staggering. There has never been an opportunity to acquire a similar group of unique notes in this quantity before. This volume of proof color trials has never been offered before and is fresh to the market. We estimate the average note price as individual unique notes to be between $200 to $500 each. This is a historic opportunity to acquire a fantastic piece of Philippine numismatic history.
