Paris, France, 1863. £200 I/U 6% Bond, Black print on black border with Allegorical woman holding Confederate flag with cotton bales and ships at sea behind her, Bond is printed in English and French, S/N 414, out of c. 1 to 1500, Signed by Baron Emil Erlanger (loan manager in Paris and Frankfurt), J. Henry Schroeder (loan agent in London), Colin J. McCrae (CSA European agent), and John Slidell (CSA commissioner to Paris). Beige tint on white, watermarked paper with each coupon watermarked with its due date, Confederacy with flag, bales, etc. at top center, Last coupon is hand-signed. VF condition with toning along somewhat rough margins, toning on back at fold lines. Rarity 5+ with 101 to 200 extant, c. 1500 issued. 4 Coupons have been removed, No imprint. Also includes letter of authentication and additional modern items describing the bond.
