Hartford, Connecticut, 1789. Lot of 3 pieces, all are I/C payments of lawful money, out of any "Fund appropriated for the Payment of interest on the liquidated Debt of the State of Connecticut." All three are for 5 Shillings, Black text with black border and black handwriting, cut cancelled at center, and signed by Ralph Pomeroy as Comptroller. Ralph Pomeroy was a paymaster in the Continental Army. He remained involved in state politics, acting as State Controller after the war. Fine condition with some toning.
