Lot of 6 notes, East Haddam, CT., $1 and $5, Bank of New England at Goodspeed's Landing, Both Unc to CU condition; Hartford, CT., $3 1862 Charter Oak Bank, VG, Ink cancellation; Hartford, CT., $5, Mercantile Bank, Overprinted Counterfeit, VG;, New Haven, CT. $5, City Bank of New Haven, Unc.; West Killingly, CT., $1 Eastern Bank, Choice VG, Counterfeit overprint. Sextet of Obsolete Notes. Includes the East Haddam and New Haven notes, both remainders. The Charter Oak note is ink cancelled with 'Counterfeit'. The Mercantile Bank note is altered from a $5 Bank of Washtenaw, MI, and stamped 'Counterfeit, Suffolk Bank'. The West Killingly note has 'Broken Bank' stamped twice. Various security printers. (6)
