Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, ND (ca.1820's), Copper printing plate with over 40 ornate cycloid engravings on 6 by 6 inch copper plate. Unique copper printing plate from a new estate find and the first time ever offered in public auction. The plate is in excellent condition with evidence of a cleaning sometime in the distant past. The back has Jb (Jacob) Keim imprinted on the top margin who possibly manufactured the printing plate. No engraver imprint but evidently from an early Philadelphia engraver and from the same estate that the William Kneass plates are from.
