New York, NY. 1887. 1 year of 12 separate bound issues in a single book form. Each issue starts out with the "Latest Counterfeit Notes". 50 pages of information in each monthly issue. Each issue includes immense amounts of details of counterfeited banknotes, ranging from Legal Tender to Silver Certificates to National Banknotes to U.S. and Foreign coins and paper money. Ads are also included relating to the banking industry. A long section of daily news events for the month from congressional actions to bank closings is included with each issue. The last page of each monthly section is on heavier thin card stock that lists counterfeit banknotes denominations and locations and if examples were found. Over all the paper has light toning with some minor faults including small pieces torn from the outer cloth cover. Rare yearly reference of detailed banking industry counterfeiting news.
