USA & Canada, 1980-1990s. 100 Units, P-unlisted, Uncut block of 8 "DuraNotes" with a variety of different security features. This uncut block of 8 has 4 notes with different security features for each note. The notes also have additional security features on very light lavender columns to right of notes including see through translucent rectangular bar with maple leaf in it and diagonal bars in rectangle and Pegasus with 100 below it and the bottom. Face has ocean oil well drilling platform with ornate designs with "00000" serial numbers and the back "Duranote 100" with vignette of horse drawn oil or water tank over light multi-colored cycloid security undertint only. Uncirculated to CU condition. DuraNotes was a project undertaken by Mobil Oil in the 1980 and 1990s to development a long lasting replacement for banknote paper using petroleum polymer substrate as a paper replacement.
