1925, 100 Bolivares, Series G, P.S155, Provisional Issue hand dated "Julio 24, 1914", serial #7465, three hand signatures. With the provisional overprint "Pagadero en las Oficinas del Banco". The note would grade VG with minor faults, the back has a small 1 inch abrasion on the lower left, otherwise the note is very attractive withgood strong colors and intact corners. Rosenman in "Billetes de Venezuela" illustrates a note from the same series G (believed to be the only series) with the serial #27559 and the rubber-stamped date 21 March 1911. The Pick reference likely derives from Rosenman. Our piece with a handwritten date is thus apparently an unrecorded variety. Pick has no illustration for the 1925 provisionals, though a note of a similar type but from series E and not the provisional issue, is illustrated under P.S137. A major rarity from an important and popular country. Homer-Lee BNC. First time seen by cataloger. Worthy of the finest collection.
