England. ND (ca.1860's). Original watercolor painting of allegorical women and 2 cherubs with profile of man with beard, sailing ships, map and compass, anchor sextant and worldglobe. Bottom of hand painted vignette has credit "A.J.Waudby, Fecit". Extremely detailed and well done. Painted on a 8.5 x 5.5 inch white card mounted on thicker white card. . Choice condition. This was originally part of the Perkins, Bacon Archiveand sold by Spink at Christie's, New York in 1996 (I was the buyer). Unique in archive.
