New York. Erie Railway Co., railroad pass that is also an autograph piece and a revenue piece. Serial No. 1927, issued in 1872 to Mr. A.H. Baldwin, Vice President of the West Wisconsin Railway. Ornate blue border and allegorical vignette of New York Arms with the date 18-72 engraved on the upper left and right corners. Printed on cardstock by National Bank Note Co., New York. Minor wear around the edges and very light soiling. This railway was the center of a battle between some of the most powerful men in the country in the 1860s. Historic railroad pass that appeals to autograph collectors, railroad historians and Revenue collectors. One of the few passes with revenue imprints.
