European Collection of Issued Banknotes, Includes: Allied Military Currency WWII from Italy, France, Japan, and Germany; Portugal, Norway, Spain, Sicily, Italy, and Germany. Early-to-mid-20th-century world banknotes, highlighted by Portugal, including Banco de Portugal 20 Escudos (Vasco da Gama) and 50 Escudos (Ouro) issues. Italy is well represented with World War II Allied Military Currency 1 Lira notes, Kingdom-era 10 Lire (Victor Emmanuel III), and later Banca d’Italia Republic issues, including 1,000 Lire (Verdi type) and 5,000 Lire (Leonardo da Vinci type). Additional notes include Norway, a 1957 Norges Bank 5 Kroner; Austria / Austro-Hungarian Empire, a 10 Kronen; Spain, a Banco de España 25 Pesetas; and China, a 1 Yuan note of Republican-era style, with issuer and date uncertain. A solid representative selection of classic world currency types. The condition ranges from Choice Fine to VF condition or better. (34). Sold "AS IS" no returns accepted.
