Florence 1862 Scrip Note.Florence, Alabama, January 1st, 1862, 10 cents, P-Unlisted, Rosene-unlisted denomination, HW Wray listed similar design 50 cents (Rosene 93-1) and listed as R7, Issued, 3.25 by 2 inches, black on blue ruled paper, back blank, text states CHANGE (10) TICKET - Good for ten cents in Confederate (additional text crossed out) notes when presented in sums of five dollars, Dated and signed (McVay?), mounted on backing paper due to separations and splits to reinforce the note, otherwise it appears VG to Fine condition. Same form was used by several local merchants during Civil War-all are rare. Scarce Alabama Confederate Scrip note.
