The auction will take place on May 7th at our offices located at 1580 Lemoine Ave., Suite 7, Fort Lee, NJ 07024
Potsdam, NY. $5, $5, NY-285-R5 SENC, Issued Obsolete Banknote, Milk maid with two cows on top middle, seamstress lower right, small train at bottom, S/N 8670, Choice VG to Fine condition with 10 very small pin holes and a triangular cut cancel, a small tear on the lower bottom left margin and rough edges do not detract from this extremely rare and possibly unique note. This example was last sold at a Heritage auction in 2002 for $299. This is its first outing since that date. At that time it was considered an unlisted denomination and it is the only example to have come up for auction. ABNC. Rare and desirable banknote.
