Georgia and Tennessee. Lot of 4 Issued Obsolete Scrip notes mounted on 1 scrapbook sheet, Includes: 1861, Augusta, Georgia. City Council of Augusta, 10¢; 1862, Augusta Savings Bank, 5¢; 1861, Nashville, Tennessee, Bank of Tennessee, 10¢; and, 1862, Knoxville, Tennessee. Ocoee Bank, $1. All are in Choice VG to Fine condition. The top of the sheet has an obituary of a Northern soldier, who I think indirectly or directly salvaged the notes from the battlefield and was eventually killed in action after he gave the notes to someone. The back of the page has an engraving of Andrew Jackson. Another interesting a rare assortment of banknotes.
