Nördlingen, Germany, 1917-18. Lot of 12 Issued Notgeld, Includes: 20 Pfennig (3); 50 Pfennig (9). Notes feature multiple design types including Imperial eagle motifs and cityscape views of Nördlingen, with serial numbers, decorative borders, and municipal authorization by the city magistrate. Printed in a variety of color combinations including black, red, green, and orange. These emergency notes were issued by the city during World War I to address shortages of small denomination coinage. Uncirculated to Gem Uncirculated or better condition. (12).
