Radolfzell, Baden, Germany, gold-denominated emergency scrip issued 3 November 1923 by Gotthard Allweiler, Pumpenfabrik A.-G., during the final phase of the German hyperinflation. The note is a Schuldschein (promissory certificate) for Goldmark 0.42 (two-and-forty Goldpfennig), redeemable in Badische or Reichsgoldmünzen or their cash equivalent. Printed in red with a detailed vignette of an Allweiler industrial pump and municipal stamp validating the gold coverage deposited with the city. Signed by company officials. A well_known industrial issuer of gold-backed Notgeld from the Lake Constance region; collectible as both inflation-era scrip and industrial history.
