Hattingen, Germany, 1918. Lot of 3 Issued POW camp notes from the Gefangenenlager Zeche Johannessegen. Includes: 1 Mark; 2 Mark; 5 Mark. Printed on colored card stock with simple border designs, serial numbers, and printed issue and redemption dates. Issued for controlled circulation within a German prisoner of war camp associated with the Zeche Johannessegen mining operation during World War I, where special camp currency regulated prisoner transactions. Notes range from VF to XF overall with strong color and detail. (3). Sold “AS IS” no returns accepted.
