Trinidad & Tobago, (1914), $1000 , P-2E Unlisted Specimen note, Dark green on light green, Listed in SCWPM as black instead of this examples green color and listed as uniface proofs and this note is a double sided specimen with front and back together as an issued note would be released, Royal Arms at top center, Helmeted female head at left, back green on light green with cherubs supporting seal on back. Issued by the Government of Trinidad & Tobago just prior to WWI for reasons unknown. Quite similar to but more attractive than the Straits Settlements $1000 and $10,000 notes issued about the same time. The only other note known is the former Crown Agent's example held at the British Library. An exceptional note, extremely large size and a superb design. In Trinidad as in Canada prior to the opening of the central bank of Canada. This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a note formerly uncollectable. TDLR.
