Grafton, Massachusetts, August 1, 1854, $1-$3-$5, Plate A-A-A, similar to MA-630-G2a,G6a,G8a except there is no red overprint, all are SENC, Unlisted variety in Haxby, Black and white proofs printed on india, $1, with Clay at right, middle with male portrait and left with hay wagon with farmer holding pitch fork; $3, with large sized 1/2 banknote vignette with woman blowing horn dinner horn on left and oval male portrait on right; $5, portrait of John Quincy Adams on left middle, oval male portrait on right middle, shoemakers on left and woman sewing boot on right with child, All with small POC's, all with ABN overprints on back in purple with slight to moderate bleed through, the $1 has a 1 inch tear with strip missing due to POC tear on the right, the $3 and $5 have scotch tape repair on the right side, mostly on the $5 note with only a 1/3 to 1/2 inch tear on the bottom of the $3 note, otherwise the notes would grade AU with faults, BA.
