The auction will take place on Thursday, November 21st, 2019 at AIA's office located at 1060 Main St., Suite #202, River Edge, NJ 07661 beginning at 10:30 AM
Complete set of three aluminum tokens. Includes F/CARA-2, 29mm, square planchet with rounded corners; F/CARA-3, 29.6mm, triangular planchet with rounded edges; and F/CARA-4, 31mm, circular planchet. All three tokens have a plain edge, obverse "HACIENDA / PALMERA", reverse "J. E. G. / DIRIAMBA". Accordin to Luis Flores in his book Nicaragua Coins and Tokens, all three tokens have a rarity of R10. Hacienda Palmera was owned by Jose Esteban Gonzalez, who was one of the wealthiest landowners of the Department of Carazo. It was located on the outskirts of Diriamba. Today, it is incorporated into the city and is a senior citizens center run by nuns.
