Location:Crowne Plaza Hotel. 401 South Van Brunt St, Englewood, New Jersey, 07631, United States
Hobart Town, Tasmania, Australia. 16 Dec, 1836. 161 Pounds, 10 Shillings and two Pence. Issued and pen cancelled draft payable at Campbell Town. A circular "Derwent Bank" imprint is next to the signature verifying it. A 1/2 by 1 inch piece is missing from the top right corner and there is slight ink burn in the middle, otherwise, the draft looks in Fine condition. Counter foil on left. Hobart Town was founded in 1804 as a penal colony. Charles Darwin visited Hobart Town in 1836 by coincidence. Rare early Australian fiscal item.
